A new dating study from WhatsYourPrice.com shows that when it comes to sending the first online message, women hit send immediately, while men experience message anxiety.

This societal boost has translated to online dating, as a new survey finds that women don’t wait for a chance at love.

Dating site WhatsYourPrice.com surveyed 14,400 members to determine how much time it takes for men and women to hit send after seeing a profile they were interested in. The survey reveals that women waste no time going after what they want, while men were more likely to wait a few hours after seeing a profile before sending a message. Researchers at WhatsYourPrice are labeling this behavior as “message anxiety.”
